Washington Harbour Condo Owners Move to Block New Development

Condominium owners at the Washington Harbour have appealed to the Board of Zoning Adjustment to prevent a new six-story residential building under evaluation by property owner MRP Realty, according to the Washington Business Journal.

The Washington Business Journal explains:

The Jan. 4 appeal with the Board of Zoning Adjustments is over a project that an MRP representative told us in November was little more than an "internal evaluation." MRP, spokeswoman Julie Chase said at the time, 'has no intention right now of pursuing' the 88-unit multifamily building, or 120-room inn, on K Street NW at its intersection with 30th Street."

MRP has recently undertaken the renovation and upgrades at the Washington Harbour Complex, which include a renovated Tony & Joes and Nick's Riverside Grille, the brand new Farmers Fishers Bakers and the new fountain design and ice rink on the Georgetown waterfront.
