What Should Replace Grill Kabob?

Grill Kabob recently closed its Georgetown location at 3299 M St. NW.

Let's call this a modern spin on community planning—Patch's version of a charette, a digital drawing board where all ideas are on the table.

From time to time we'll present a new vacant building and ask you to tell us what you think would be the best use. Forget what zone it's in, ignore setback regulations, dump lot coverage rules and all the other zoning jargon. If you had your way, what would you like to see there? What would be the best use for the community?

Grill Kabob recently closed at 3299 M St NW, which was previously Aditi Indian Cuisine.

The building's owner recently went before the Georgetown Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) for concept review of plans to alter the storefront, create new openings and replace windows.

The owner told the ANC that he is talking to potential new tenants, including both restaurants and retailers.

What would you like to see in Grill Kabob's place? A cafe? A clothing store?
