Job Offered P/T Afterschool Drama Teacher

Creative Kids is a literature-based after school drama program that runs classes in various schools throughout the Montgomery County, Prince George’s County, Baltimore, DC, Northern Virginia and Annapolis area. We are currently hiring part-time teachers/teaching artists for the spring session of the 2013-2014 academic school year.

We are looking for teachers who are available to teach at least one class a week. This is a great opportunity for retired teachers, college students majoring in education or theater, actors and parents who have some free time in the after school hours.  Classes typically take place between 2pm and 5pm and are 45-60 minutes. Classes meet once a week at each site and run for six to ten weeks. Teachers can be assigned to more than one site depending on availability.

In each Creative Kids class our teachers lead students to explore and enact specially selected children's books. We work with ages 3-12. Our class ranges from 8-15 children.

Prospective candidates must have:
* Experience working with children and/or teaching,

* Experience in theatre or drama,
*A car.
