Kamisol Accessories & Fashion Consultancy Photo Shoot Unites Women Businesses

(Washington, DC) On August 25, 2013 Gigi McMillan, Owner and Founder of Kamisol Accessories & Fashion Consultancy put together a photo shoot that united women businesses throughout the DC and Maryland area. The theme of the photo shoot was a retro style twist on "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun." The concept truly resonated with the models and as a result the pictures are already getting rave reviews. 

Creating the looks for the shoot would have not been possible without the women business partnerships and style coordinators who are also nonprofit leaders. Simeaka Melton is the Founder of Rising Above Expectations http://www.risingaboveexpectations.org  and Meshia Adams is the Founder of Meshia’s Hope http://meshiashope.org/. LJW Social Media and PR Strategies worked with Kamisol Accessories to create a partnership marketing plan that would strategically secure business relationships with all of the women entrepreneurs. 

The clothing and accessory partners who helped to make this event possible included Definition Boutique, REVEL Style, Hipp Gyps, ReBirth Designs and Clutch Instincts. Makeup artist Monique Gooden helped to create the makeup concept and look stylist Gigi McMillan wanted to achieve. Silent Whispers Photography helped to capture the energy of the shoot.

Kamisol’s Founder and Owner says her, “style philosophy is simple-I like colors and cuts that make one feel the most confident in their own skin. Style is the end process of creating a signature look; I choose to work with clients to help them create a flair that will showcase their personalities.” Her philosophy on style was definitely applied in her recent August shoot.

Stylist Gigi McMillan used a combination of lighting and angles to create looks for the models that defined and highlighted their shapes. She also selected several outfits from the participating partners that would outline the models features. As a result of these techniques the recent photo shoot pictures are catching the attention of many in the local fashion industry and Kamisol Accessories and Fashion Consultancy partners are gaining social media results.  Networking with other women businesses is just the first stage of Kamisols fashion outreach efforts.

At the forefront of Kamisol’s agenda is to unite fashion to nonprofit organizations through holding a series of events that will transform the face of consumerism to compassion and charity.
