WEST, LANE & SCHLAGER REALTY ADVISORS NEGOTIATES 10,212-SQUARE-FOOT LEASE FOR THE COCHRAN FIRM IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

June 5, 2014 (Washington, D.C.) – West, Lane & Schlager Realty Advisors, LLC, a Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate brokerage firm that exclusively represents tenants, announced today that it has negotiated on behalf of The Cochran Firm a 10,212-square-foot lease at 1100 New York Ave. NW in the District of Columbia.

In this seven-year transaction, West, Lane & Schlager Principal Richard Lane and company Senior Vice President Matthew Levin, SIOR, LEED AP, represented The Cochran Firm, one of the nation’s largest personal injury law firms.

Lane and Levin showed their client a wide variety of alternatives throughout the Washington area to consider for its local office; ultimately, according to Levin, remaining at 1100 New York Ave. NW proved the best option for the law firm.

“We’re excited to have completed this 10,212-square-foot deal for The Cochran Firm at 1100 New York Ave. NW, which allowed our client to convert its expiring sublease into a new prime lease,” he says. “We secured for The Cochran Firm extremely favorable terms – locking in a lower rental rate and obtaining other concessions from the landlord that provide for significant improvements to the space, which are presently under way.”
