WEST, LANE & SCHLAGER REALTY ADVISORS SENIOR ASSOCIATE ANDREW GENOVA OFF TO A BUSY START NEGOTIATING NEW TRANSACTIONS TOTALING MORE THAN 53,000 SQUARE FEET IN THE D.C.-AREA MARKET

April 3, 2014 (Washington, D.C.) – West, Lane & Schlager (“WLS”), a Washington, D.C.-based commercial real estate brokerage firm that exclusively represents tenants, is off to a great start for the year.

WLS Senior Associate Andrew Genova, in conjunction with his colleagues, announced today that they have negotiated new leases on behalf of PSI Services III, Inc. (“PSI”) and its administrative services organization, Administrative Services, Inc. (“ASI”), the International Franchise Association, Solidaris, LCC, the Pediatric Nurses Certification Board (“PNCB”) and The Ocean Foundation.



Richard Lane, a principal at WLS, and Genova represented ASI/PSI in a 21,696-square-foot lease relocation at 8301 Professional Place in Landover, Md. Genova explained that this deal is a consolidation from ASI/PSI’s offices in Bethesda, Md., and Chevy Chase, Md. WLS negotiated a buyout for 50 percent of their client’s remaining lease liability, which the new landlord covered as part of the concession package.

Genova with WLS Principal Eric West completed a 13,559-square-foot lease expansion and relocation on behalf of the International Franchise Association at 1900 K Street, NW. The International Franchise Association is the oldest and largest organization representing franchising around the globe.

West and Genova also finalized a 6,460-square-foot lease relocation on behalf of Solidaris. Solidaris is the holding entity for a group of companies involved in the development, engineering, financing and construction of energy projects throughout the world. Its new location is 2275 Research Boulevard in Rockville, Md.

Additionally, Genova and Mindy Saffer, a managing principal at Cresa Washington DC, negotiated a 6,387-square-foot lease relocation at 9605 Medical Center Drive in Rockville, Md., for PNCB, the largest independent pediatric nursing certification organization in the United States. PNCB’s new office also gives the organization room to grow in the future.

Lastly, WLS Senior Vice President Ganon Rich and Genova were representatives in a 5,306-square-foot lease expansion and relocation at 1320 19th Street, NW for The Ocean Foundation, whose mission is to support, strengthen and promote those organizations dedicated to reversing the trend of destroying ocean environments worldwide.
