Friday & Saturday: Giant Cuban + World Graphic Arts Sale & Mayan Textile + Vintage Magazines

You are invited to our giant Graphic Arts Open House on Friday and Saturday (May 30-31) at 3319 O Street NW in Georgetown. We'll be open from 10 am to 4 pm both days. And we promise you a treasure hunt with many hundreds of rarely seen posters to choose from!

Our Open House will feature a huge selection of scarce Cuban graphics: more than 200 silk-screened movie posters and 100+ political, solidarity and propaganda posters. Most are priced in the $90 to $135 range, although we'll have some rare (and pricier) graphics for collectors and some more affordable Havana-made mini art and movie posters as well ($35 each).

For collectors, interior designers and gift seekers, we will be offering a generous discount: Choose any 5 items, get the lowest priced one FREE. Choose 10, get the 2 lowest-priced FREE. No limits!

The gorgeous handmade Cuban silk-screen movie posters measure a standard 20 x 30 inches and are easy and inexpensive to frame. See the photos we have posted for a sampling of these beautiful posters. The Cubans make a silk-screen poster for almost every movie shown on the island, whether it be from Cuba, the U.S., Russia, France, Japan etc. So expect to see posters for foreign films such as The Godfather, Cabaret, Clockwork Orange (poster is hand-signed by the artist), the Three Musketeers, Silence of the Lambs (signed), Schindler's List and Rebel Without A Cause, as well as for classic Cuban films such as Lucia, Vampires in Havana and Strawberry and Chocolate.

We'll also be offering several stacks of social cause and cultural posters from the United States and Latin America. Plus a large selection of kitschy MAO posters from China ($29 each) and two dozen beautiful hand-woven Mayan textiles from Guatemala ($30 to $300). And a large selection of vintage TIME and FOREIGN SERVICE JOURNAL magazines. Plus some rarely seen Cuban magazines, post cards, art prints and other collectibles. Lots of cool gift possibilities!

See you Friday or Saturday if you're free! We promise it will be fun!
