Live Edge furnishings are making its way into our living and dining rooms at a fast pace. In sharp contrast to wood tables and countertops with finished, straight edges, Live Edge furnishings are characterized by rough, natural, unfinished edges, and irregular imperfections making each piece completely unique.
Japanese-American architect, George Nakashima, introduced this style of furnishings in the 1940s. Craftsman in the 21st century revived Live Edge style by using salvaged or reclaimed wood to create eco-conscious pieces that bring nature back into our homes.
