Georgetown Scores One New and One Expanded Bikeshare Station

Want more? Bikeshare and Bike Arlington have a new map where users can crowdsource suggestions for new station locations.

Capital Bikeshare officially annnounced its finalized list of new and expanded stations--Georgetown snags one of each. A new bike dock will roll into the neighborhood at the small park at the intersection of M Street, 28th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue. The current station on Wisconsin Avenue at the will have additional spaces and bikes added.

In addition to the new stations, Bikeshare and Bike Arlington have partnered to create a crowdsourcing map to identify new potential locations as the system continues to expand. In addition to suggesting stations, you can "like" or "dislike" other users' suggestions.

"Transportation departments in the District, Arlington, Alexandria and Montgomery County have all committed to reviewing this map and taking your input into account when planning new stations," according to the Bikeshare newsletter.
