Christmas Trash Collection Schedule for Georgetown, Glover Park

There will be no trash collection Christmas Day; collections will slide one day.

The Department of Public Works (DPW) will not collect trash Tuesday, Christmas Day. Throughout DC, collections will slide one day.

Georgetown residents usually have trash collected twice a week on Tuesday and Friday. Instead collections this week will be made Wednesday and Saturday.

For Burleith and Glover Park residents, who usually have their trash collected once a week on Thursdays, collection will happen Friday instead.

"Trash and recycling containers should be put out for collection no earlier than 6:30 pm the night before collection and removed from public space by 8 pm on the collection day," according to the DPW news release.
