DC Area Weather: Sun and Warmth Early, Chance of Rain Thursday and Friday

Temperatures may go up to 81 degrees by mid week in the DC area.

The peak of Cherry Blossom season this week should be a breath of fresh air after a long winter, with temperatures reaching a high near 76 degrees Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Though the highs come with a chance of rain, don't let that dampen your spirit considering that just a few weeks ago the DC area was dealing with snow and generally dreary weather.

  • Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 79 degrees
  • Wednesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 81 degrees
  • Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78 degrees
  • Friday: Rain likely, with a high near 63 degrees
