Editor's Notebook: Rabid Critters, Georgetown Runners in Boston and More

A look at a few of the most notable stories this week on Georgetown Patch.

A raccoon bit a man last Saturday near Montrose Park, sending the victim to the hospital. Animal Control was unable to capture the culprit immediately, but on Monday, officers located and captured a rabid raccoon.

Several Area Runners Were in Boston for the Marathon

Nine runners from Georgetown registered to run in the Boston Marathon, which turned into a week of searching and mourning. Georgetowner Marsha Ralls checked in with Patch. She was safe and had been at mile 22 when the explosion happened. She plans to return to run again next year, "to honor the innocent."
