1. Georgetown ARTS 2013 Exhibit
When/Where: Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the House of Sweden, 2900 K St. NW, Washington, D.C.
Why Go: Discover the talent of Georgetown residents and artists who work in Georgetown at the fourth annual Citizens Association of Georgetown art exhibit. Explore works in media ranging from oil and watercolor paintings, to prints, sculpture and photography. The setting on the Georgetown waterfront is not to be overlooked and children are welcome.

2. Feel the Heritage Festival

When/Where: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Langston-Brown Community Center on 2121 N. Culpeper St., Arlington
Why Go: There will be live music from jazz harmonicist Avon Dews and African drumming and dancing from Soul in Motion Players. Barbecue and soul food will be served, and there's even a chance to win two free tickets to Africa courtesy of Ethiopian Airlines.
Price: Free
3. Jefferson Healthy Family Fun Fair
When/Where: 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center, 3501 Second St. S., Arlington.
Why Go: Elementary school students and families can learn more about fitness and healthy eating in Arlington. There will be a moonbounce, cooking demos, face painting, an obstacle course, Zumba, rock climbing wall, music, basketball, martial arts and more.
Price: Free
4. Washington Bach Consort performs in the Georgetown Concert Series
When/Where: Saturday 5 to 6:30 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church Georgetown, 3240 O St. NW, Washington, D.C.
Why Go: The internationally acclaimed baroque ensemble perform a selection of works by Johann Sebastian Bach. In addition to instrumental music, the program includes the Solo Cantata No. 82, Ich habe genug with Mark Duer, baritone.
Price: $30
5. Valentine's Day at historic Tudor Place
When/Where: Event times vary Saturday at Tudor Place, 1644 31st St. NW, Washington, D.C.
Why Go: The Children's tour and workshop sends children on a scavenger hunt and then lets them create their own Valentine's Day cards at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The adults tea and chocolate tasting event at 1 p.m. lets guests sample a variety of 18th- and 19th-century teas and chocolates before taking a guided tour of the historic home.
Price: $5 for the children's event and $25 for the adults tea and chocolate tasting.
