Why Go: "Join D&D for an evening exploring 25 fine wines from California and Europe! Selections of Dean & Deluca's world class cheese and charcuterie will be served. Discounts on all wines tasted will be offered."

Where/When: 3134 Ellicott St NW, Washington. Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Why Go: Come tour the bare bones of this stunning home in Forest Hills before top area designers work their magic on the blank canvas. For more information, visit the D.C. Design House website.

Pricing: $20 with a $5 discount if you purchase a $20 ticket to tour the home during the finished showhouse in April or May.

Where/When: 14th Street N & N. Courthouse Rd., Arlington. Saturday, 8 a.m.

Why Go: Fresh produce, flower market, antiques and collectibles will be available at this weekly market - a great way to pick up some fresh croissants for those late Saturday morning risers.

Pricing: Free to attend.

Where/When: Arlington Cinema 'N Drafthouse, 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington; Friday, wine tasting at 6:15 p.m., movie at 7:15 p.m.

Why Go: Unwind with a glass of wine...or two...at this weekly wine tasting, followed by a movie.

Pricing: Wine is $1.50 per "taste." Movie tickets are $5.50.

5. An Evening with Bon Jovi

Where/When: Verizon Center, 601 F St., NW, Washington. Sunday, 7:30 p.m.

Why Go: "Livin' on a Prayer," "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "You Give Love a Bad Name," to name just a few reasons why this concert won't be one you want to miss.

Pricing: $19.50-$149.50
