Get Out: Renegade Pigs, Restaurant Week, Stand-Up and More

The weekend is only one day away! How are you going to spend it?

When/Where: Saturday 8 to 11 p.m at (3295 M St., NW).

Why Go: According to the event notice: "Join Renegade Pigs and the DC Police community for a night of fun, door prizes and more as they honor police men and women and their families who've made the ultimate sacrifice for our public safety. A portion of the proceeds goes to Concerns of Police Survivors."

When/Where: 9:55 p.m. Friday, 7:30 and 9:55 p.m. Saturday at the Arlington Cinema and Drafthouse, 2903 Columbia Pike.

Why Go: Jackson has performed in movies like "Tropic Thunder," "Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief," and "Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son." Jackson has been doing stand-up comedy since he was a teenager, when he performed on "Showtime at the Apollo" and various BET programs.

Why Go: It's the penultimate outdoor show of this summer's election-themed movie selection. Dustin Hoffman, Robert de Niro, Anne Heche and Woody Harrelson star in tale about a political advisor and Hollywood producer manufacturing a war to cover up a presidential sex scandal.

When/Where: Saturday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Marriot Wardman Park (2660 Woodley Rd., NW).

Why Go: Thinking about running a long-distance race? The Team in Training program gives you guidance throughout the lead-up to your chosen event. Participants raise funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and get a leg-up on the competition. Saturday's event will have information on upcoming races, registration, and training tips.

Price: Free to attend.
