Get Out: Santa Stumble, Miracle on 23rd Street and More

1. 58th Annual St. John's Greens Sale & Christmas Bazaar
When/Where: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at St John's Episcopal Church Georgetown Parish, 3240 O St., NW.
Why Go: This family-friendly event offers crafts for the kids, holiday wreaths and greens to make your home festive and food and carols to keep the whole family happy.

2. Miracle on 23rd Street

When/Where: Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday outside (and continue inside) Linden Resources, 750 S. 23rd St., Arlington
Why Go: This free event features a festive tree lighting, Santa Claus arriving on an Arlington County fire truck, holiday music performances, children's activities and food. Inside, crafts will be on sale. Linden Resources helps increase employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

3. Santa Stumble and Toy Drive at Rhino Bar
When/Where: 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday is the Toys for Tots Drive and from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday is the Santa Stumble, both at Rhino Bar & Pumphouse, 3295 M St., NW.
Why Go: Stop by for a bite to eat and a pint after your holiday shopping is finished for the day. Bring a gift to benefit Toys for Tots and the Rhino Bar elves will wrap your holiday gifts. Or come by later in the evening for the Santa Stumble. Hundreds of Santas, elves, and Ms. Clauses will party for a good cause: The Naval Marine Corps Relief Society.
Cost: Free to attend.
4. Victoria Vox and Christylez Bacon
When/Where: 8 p.m. Friday at the Artisphere
Why Go: Billed as "eclectic, upbeat and clever," Victoria Vox specializes in the ukulele. She spent last year learning 52 cover songs and this year writing 52 originals. Christylez Bacon is described as a "progressive hip-hop artist" from Southeast DC. While performing, he switches between the West African djembe drum, acoustic guitar and oral percussion, among other instruments, according to Artisphere.
Cost: $12
5. Lighting Ceremony of the National Hanukkah Menorah
When/Where: 4 p.m. Sunday on the Ellipse near the White House
Why Go: Hanukkah begins at sundown Saturday and the National Hanukkah Menorah lighting ceremony celebrates the eight-day Jewish holiday. The family-friendly evening features the United States Navy Band as well as food (think donuts and latkes) and games.
Cost: Free tickets are available for pick up at the event. Reserve them online through Friday.
