Jose Andres Named Among Country's Most Powerful Foodies

Celebrity chef and Bethesda resident named amongst the Daily Meal's 50 most powerful people in food.

Jose Andres has been named amongst America's most powerful foodies.

Andres was named by the Daily Meal, which recently came out with its list of America's 50 Most Powerful People in Food. 

The celebrity chef and Bethesda resident came in 18th on the third annual list, which highlights those who "affect what and how and where and why we eat."

Andres is also a successful restaurateur behind eateries including downtown DC's Jaleo. He also launched popular food truck Pepe.

Also named on the list was First Lady Michelle Obama (#24,) McDonalds head Donald Thompson (#7,) Bill Shore, Founder and CEO, Share Our Strength (#35,) and chef and restaurateur Wolfgang Puck (#36).
