Metro Bus Route Changes Impact D3, D6

Time between buses to increase during morning rush hour.

Georgetowners who rely on the D3 bus route will have a longer wait during the morning rush hour starting Monday. Both D3 and D6 routes have changes to short routes and stop locations, as well.

The time between D3 buses will increase from 20 minutes to 24 minutes. Metro cited "low ridership" as the reason for the change in a notice on the WMATA website

The changes throughout the system are meant to "improve on-time performance and reliability," according to a press release from Metro.
