This weekend marks the end of Metro's "Break for Blossoms," in which the transit agency has paused scheduled track work to accommodate crowds attending the 2013 Cherry Blossom festival.

If you are attending the National Cherry Blossom Festival Parade, which is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, the closest stations to the parade route are the Navy Memorial on the Yellow and Green lines or Federal Triangle on the Blue and Orange lines.

Next week, Metro will return to its weekend track work schedules, "part of a six-year, $5 billion Capital Improvement Program (CIP) that is focused on safety and bringing the Metro system into a state of good repair," according to the Metro website.

Have you been taking the Metro more frequently on the weekends because of the track work break? Tell us in the comments.
