Weather service warns gusts could down trees and power lines.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the DC region Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Residents should expects winds blowing from the northwest in the 20 to 25 MPH range with possible gusts up to 50 MPH.

The higher wind gusts could knock over trees and knock out power, the weather service warns.
