President Barack Obama treated First Lady Michelle Obama to a birthday dinner with friends at Georgetown's Cafe Milano, 3251 Prospect St. NW.
A motorcade of black SUVs and large black trucks turned left from Wisconsin Avenue onto Prospect Street around 7 p.m. Thursday evening, blocking traffic on both streets briefly.
The AP reported that the Obamas were celebrating the first lady's 49th birthday with friends.
The Obamas are no stranger to Georgetown. This fall, after his first debate fell on their anniversary, the president made it up to the first lady with dinner at Bourbon Steak.
