This Week's Weather: Rain Monday, Wintry Mix Possible Midweek

Valentine's Day on Thursday is expected to be sunny with a high of 41 degrees.

The week will likely start out soggy Monday according to the National Weather Service, with a 90 percent chance of rain. The good news? Temperatures are expected to go up to 59 degrees and maybe into the low 60s. The average high for Feb. 11 for the area is about 46 degrees according to The Weather Channel.

Tuesday should be sunny with a dip in the temperature to a high of 50 degrees. There is a 50 percent chance for a wintry mix for Wednesday and Wednesday night, according to the National Weather Service. Expect to see a high Wednesday of just 40 degrees.

Area florists can breathe a sigh of relief, if the weather predictions hold out for Valentine's Day on Thursday. The NWS says to expect sunshine with a high of 41 degrees, perfect weather for delivering flowers.

Friday is also shaping up to be sunny, with temperatures warming up to 50 degrees.

Friday night and Saturday, there is a 30 percent chance of "snow showers," according to the National Weather Service.
