This Week's Weather: Warm Start to Week, Possible Showers Tuesday in DC

Weather starts out in the 60s Monday, gets chillier through the week, forecasters predict.

DC will enjoy another springlike day at the start of the week, with a high of 63 degrees on Monday, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Monday: Partly cloudy skies Monday will lead to precipitation later in the evening. The National Weather Service predicts an 80 percent chance of rain Monday night.

Tuesday: Forecasters predict a 90 percent chance of rain Tuesday during the day. Temperatures Tuesday will hit a high of 59 degrees. By Tuesday night, the rain should clear out of the area, with partly cloudy skies in the evening.

Wednesday: The day will dawn clear and sunny but chilly, with a high of 50 degrees for the day. Evening skies will be clear and temperatures will likely plunge below freezing to 31 degrees Wednesday night.

Thursday: On Thursday, DC will see another sunny day and even chillier temperatures, with highs around 47 degrees. Clouds will roll in Thursday night and temperatures will decrease to 32 degrees.

Friday: There will be a bit of a warm-up Friday, with temperatures climbing to 54 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

The weekend will see chillier temperatures with a 60 percent chance of "snow showers" on Sunday.
