The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today (Friday, Jan. 13) for the Baltimore/Washington, DC, area. Winds will be in the 20-to-30 mph range, with potential for gusts up to 50 mph.

According to the NWS alert, gusts will begin by mid-morning and become stronger in the afternoon. A wind advisory means that winds of 45 mph are expected. The NWS recommends exercising caution in driving, especially for high-profile vehicles.
