Architects for Animals: Giving Shelter

Architects for
Animals
is a fundraising and awareness initiative that supports needy
animals. “Giving Shelter” is a one-night event that will benefit the Washington
Humane Society (WHS). Participating architectural design firms build and donate
creative outdoor winter shelters to provide DC’s homeless cats with refuge from
the season’s freezing temperatures. These shelters will be on display to the
public at the event and at the end of the evening all shelters will be donated
to care givers who work with the WHS. The shelters will be distributed
throughout DC to be utilized by community cats.
