Georgetown Village Training
We are holding a Georgetown Village Volunteer Training Session on Monday, January 28 at 4 pm at 3238 O Street NW. Our volunteer trainings are open to anyone who is interested in helping out our members, if you have some free time, we want you! Georgetown Village is a non-profit organization that provides volunteer services to seniors living in Georgetown, Burleith and nearby neighborhoods. If you are interested in learning more about Georgetown Village please look at our website-www.georgetown-village.org
There is no cost to be a village volunteer, and you do not need to be a member of the Village to volunteer. Volunteer assignments are based on the interests and skills of our volunteers. We match the needs of our members to the volunteer and we only ask you to help out a couple of hours a month.
Every volunteer is required to receive training and have a background check successfully completed before they are given a volunteer assignment. Georgetown Village covers the costs of the background checks which are conducted by an independent agency. If you are interested in attending the training session and becoming a volunteer, please bring your social security number and a copy of your drivers license, if you are willing to provide transportation to members.
If you have any questions, or would like to sign up to attend the training on Monday, please contact me.
Very truly yours,
Lynn Golub-Rofrano
