In celebration of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the University of the District of Columbia Community College offers a publicity crash course for budding entrepreneurs with Qiana Martin, a media darling, Ted Talk Speaker and 2011 British Airways Small Business Award recipient.
Topics will include understanding the media pitching process, emphasizing your expertise, crafting standout pitches, best practices in media contact outreach and grooming yourself to be a media pro.
Using the information contained in this workshop, Martin has generated interest, from O Magazine and Huffington Post and received coverage from Yahoo US News, TV One’s Our World with Black Enterprise, BlackEnterprise.com and Jezebel Magazine for a wide variety of her endeavors.
