The 3rd Annual Reel Independent Film Extravaganza (RIFE)is an event created BY filmmakers FOR filmmakers which takes place October 12 –18, 2012 at West End Cinemas in the M St Georgetown sector of Washington, DC. The event, presented by Skyrocket Productions, will highlight the talents of local, national and international filmmakers, offering a diverse program and fosters public awareness of independent cinema as a cultural and educational asset. The RIFE aims to promote and support the artistry of independent cinema from emerging filmmakers of all genres. The festival is seeking films that are engaging and innovative, reflecting a distinctive vision and independent spirit. A portion of the proceeds from the film festival will benefit breast cancer awareness in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October.
