Winter on the Water

Come celebrate the inauguration of Washington DC’s newest, largest, outdoor ice skating venue, the Washington Harbour Ice Rink, with a fete of continuous strolling entertainers, ice skating performances, choral singers, a St. Lucia parade, and artistic lighting effects, along with food and beverages served outdoors by the restaurants of the Washington Harbour. Located on the Potomac River waterfront in Georgetown, this new 11,800 square ft. rink is larger than New York City’s Rockefeller Center rink. In mid-November the Washington Harbour Ice Rink officially opens for daily public skating for the 2012-2013 season after a 6-week transformation from its interchangeable use as a picturesque fountain (opened August 2012).

Winter on the Water, admission and entertainment: Free. Fees for ice skating and skate rental: Adults – $9.00; Children/Seniors/Military – $7.00; Skate Rental – $5.00
