85th Annual Georgetown Garden Tour May 11

The Georgetown Garden Club will host the 85th annual Georgetown Garden Tour this weekend.

The Georgetown Garden Tour celebrates its 85th anniversary Saturday as garden lovers and green enthusiasts explore the gardens of Georgetown's historic homes. 

The event begins at Christ Church, 31st and O Streets NW, where you can purchase tickets and check out the garden boutique's topiaries, fine porcelain vases and unusual gardening tools.

Gardens are open for viewing from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday.

Participants are also invited to enjoy an afternoon tea served by members of the Georgetown Garden Club between 2 to 4 p.m. at Christ Church. Additionally, ticket-holders can enjoy a docent-led tour of Dumbarton Oaks Park, a National Park Service property below the private Dumbarton Oaks Garden.

Tickets are $35 and may be purchased either online or on the day-of at Christ Church.
