Concerts in the Park Kicks Off Sunday

The annual concert series, now in its 11th year, starts in Volta Park May 19.

The 11th annual Georgetown Concerts in the Park kicks off the 2013 season with a Rockin’ the Green concert featuring Georgetown's own Rebecca McCabe and Honky Tonk Confidential at Volta Park on May 19.

This is the fourth year a "green" theme was set to remind Georgetowners to protect their environment.

"Concert goers can participate in a park clean-up and planting project, a book swap, bicycle tune-ups and repair provided by the Farmer’s Market Bike Clinic and a BabyLove donation truck accepting gently used baby gear and clothing," according to a press release.
