Throw Your Tree To The Curb

How to get your Christmas tree picked up by the city.

Throw your tree to the curb before it starts to get dry and flammable.

The District of Columbia Department of Public Works will take your tree, wreaths and other greenery with your trash.

Between Dec. 29 and Jan. 11, trees will be recycled, DPW said. But after Jan. 11 they will be treated as trash.

To have DPW collect your tree, put it out next to your trash and recycling bins in their normal spot.
