Authoritative 2011 Fantasy Football Positional Rankings

Thank God football is back because it means it is time for fantasy drafts.

August is important for two reasons: my birthday and fantasy football drafts. I have complied what I believe to be as helpful of a cheat sheet as you will find for your upcoming draft. My belief this year is that you should have three wide receivers drafted after your fifth pick. Take the best player available the first two rounds regardless of position. The rankings are based on a standard scoring league. Good luck!

Quick hits:

  • Over the past three years, Adrian Peterson has been the best back in football, he is the safest pick.
  • With all the hype over Vick, do not overlook Aaron Rogers, who is the best quarterback in the league, and does not play as recklessly as Vick. Rogers has no flaws to his game.
  • If Andre Johnson is available at six or later, do not think twice about drafting him.
  • Ingram could be a great sleeper at running back even though he is a rookie.
