Georgetown Photographer's Work the Centerpiece of Women in Military Exhibit

Photographer Stephen Brown's images can be seen for the next year at the memorial at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery.

Burleith resident Stephen R. Brown's photos from his WWII Memorial project are on display now through July 6, 2014 at the Women In Military Service to America Memorial at Arlington Cemetery in Virginia.

The exhibit, sponsored by the Friends of the National WWII Memorial, is comprised of 92 large format prints from his WWII Memorial project collection. The Women In Military Service to America Memorial is the ceremonial entrance to Arlington Cemetery

"I think we succeeded in creating an exhibit that both captures one Memorial while living up to another's elegance," wrote Brown his recent newsletter.

Jane Howitt, a designer for Brown's,  designed the exhibit and together with Donna Houle and Marillla Cushman of the Women's Memorial selected the images, which include a collection of photographs of women veterans.

The Memorial is open to the public, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., daily.

Prints are available for purchase and 50 percent of the profit will be donated to the Women's Memorial, according to Brown's news release.

Additionally, Brown's prints are always available at the SRB Photo Archive.
