Going, going, gone...

Don't wait another week to discover the Georgetown Farmers' Market at Rose Park on Wednesdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. It'll soon be too late.

Going, going, gone.... Luckily the Georgetown Farmers' Market isn't gone yet but we are definitely in the "going" stages.

There are only three more Wednesdays left to enjoy this neighborhood food tradition - today Oct. 12, Oct. 19 and Oct. 26. We have pumpkins and gourds and squashes and apples - all the good things of fall. And no need to cook dinner when you have help like and Praline.

And on the final market day on the 26th, we will celebrate our annual Pumpkin Patch event for all the children who have enlivened the Market these last several months. Put it on your calendar!

From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., we will have pumpkin painting, cookies and cider. There will be a costume parade so get your Halloween costumes ready early. This is a rambunctious and delightful time for parents and children and customers of the Market. Don't miss it two weeks from today!

Let me leave you with two things to remember - come to the Market this afternoon and mark your calendar to celebrate with our neighborhood children on the 26th.
