Macular Degeneration:
Enhance Your Quality Of Life And Remain Independent.

Over 80% of age related macular degeneration patients have the dry or atrophic type of the disease. The less common, the wet form of the disease is more aggressive and threatening to one's vision.

Medications, such as Lucentis and Avastin, have become the standard practice for the treatment of wet macular degeneration. Although these injections help to prevent the growth of leaky blood vessels in your eye, often you vision will not recover.

Currently there is no treatment for the more common dry form of macular degeneration, and the treatment for the wet form sometimes does not meet the patient’s visual expectations. To maximize vision the use of customized advanced low vision glasses for macular degeneration is of great help. These customized advanced low vision telescopes or microscopes glasses allow patients to read small print, watch TV, and some even return to driving.
