Reports: 'Suspect' at AU Possibly Off-Duty Policeman
AU Public Safety: Campus was on lockdown.
Reports by WJLA Wednesday night say that a man taken into custody Wednesday night — after an armed man was spotted on the campus of American University — was possibly an off-duty policeman.
"Campus is all clear, the lockdown is lifted," AU Public Safety tweeted. "Campus may resume normal operations. Suspect is in custody."
The "suspect" was possibly an off-duty policeman and WJLA reports that the gun was just a holster.
