Georgetown Businesses Hit with Two Armed Robberies Sunday

Employees at Serendipity 3 and the Five Guys on Wisconsin Avenue were robbed Sunday.

Two separate incidents of armed robbery in Georgetown Sunday have police on the lookout.

First, two employees on a smoke break from work at were robbed at gunpoint Sunday afternoon according to the local Fox News affiliate. The victims report that just after 1 p.m. two men, one armed with a handgun, asked for a cigarette, but then pulled out a gun and demanded wallets and phones.

One robber is described a black male, around 18 to 20 years of age,  five-foot-nine or -ten, weighing approximately 150 pounds, wearing a white or blue T-shirt, blue jeans, and thick rim glasses with a safety pin in the frame. The second robber is described as a black male, around 18 to 20 years of age, approximately 140 to 150 pounds, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt.

In an incident late Sunday night, one armed man robbed the Five Guys on Wisconsin Avenue just before midnight, according to CBSDC. The suspect in this case is described as a white male, approximately five-foot-seven, weighing 180 pounds, and wearing all black.
