GWU Faculty Member Reported in Critical Condition Following Attack

Instructor identified as Jason Chambers.

A part-time faculty member of George Washington University is in critical condition after he was attacked just north of Dupont Circle, according to news reports.

The instructor, Jason Chambers, was attacked early Sunday morning, according to ABC7, who reported he works in the Department of Exercise Science at George Washington.

DC Police told the station that Chambers, dressed in a silver Halloween costume, was assaulted on S Street near Connecticut Avenue around 4:20 a.m. 

According to a police report, when officers found Chambers, he was on the sidewalk, silent, motionless and unable to communicate, the station reported.

Witnesses told officers Chambers had been assaulted by one male and that the suspect had fled the scene.
