Man Charged With Trying to Assassinate Obama

Ortega-Hernandez arrested in Pennsylvania.

Oscar Ramiro Ortega-Hernandez, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, has been charged with trying to assassinate President Obama or his staff, the Associated Press is reporting.

He appeared in court Thursday in Pittsburgh, Pa. The Washington Post has a photo gallery including images from Indiana, Pa., where Ortega-Hernandez was captured and law enforcement officers examining windows at the White House.

Prosecutors say he called Obama "the devil" and said he needed to be killed.
