Police Appreciation Luncheon Needs Your Support

The luncheon for Second District officers is planned for August 9.

The annual Citizens Advisory Council Second District police appreciation luncheon is planned for Aug. 9 and organizers are seeking volunteers and support.

The lunch this year will feature a salad bar "where officers can serve themselves with healthy salads," according to a notice about the event.

Volunteers are needed to take shifts to serve officers and to help restock the salad bar. If you would like to make a donation, organizers are seeking salads (like fruit salad) or monitary donations. Water bottles and other drinks are also welcome contributions.
