Someone stole from a car that was in a Georgetown residential garage on the 3200 block of R Street NW on Jan. 14, police reported.
The car, although parked out of sight from the street, was unlocked, police said.
The owners of the car were also home at the time of the break in, police said.
The police report indicated that the burglary happened sometime between 4:20 p.m. and 8 p.m. but was not reported until the next day.
