Police Report Thanksgiving-weekend Thefts, One Burglary

A roundup of the Georgetown thefts, robberies and burglaries reported by police almost daily.

According to police reports, four thefts and a burglary were reported in Georgetown after Thanksgiving. 

The burglary, a theft that involves breaking in to a home, happened at a private residence on the 1500 block of 26th Street, N.W. around 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, a police report said. 

The first theft occurred at a business around 5 p.m. on Nov. 30 on the 1234 block of Wisconsin Avenue, N.W, a police report said.

The second occurred between 10 a.m. and midnight on Dec. 1 at the Georgetown Presbyterian Church. A purse and wallet were stolen from an office and credit cards from the wallet were later used, a police report said. 

The third occurred around 6 p.m. on Dec. 1 in a commercial area on the 3200 block of M Street, N.W, a police report said.

The fourth was a theft of a laptop on the Georgetown University campus. It happened around 7 p.m. on Dec. 2 on the 300 block of O Street, N.W., a police report said.
