Chief says search for girl continues.

The body of an adult man who apparently committed suicide has been tentatively identified as Kahlil Tatum, the suspected abductor of a little girl, D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier said Monday evening in a news conference. Officials caution though that they had not yet positively identified the body as that of the 51-year-old man.

A body that "appears to be" Tatum, Lanier said, was found Monday in Kenilworth Park, where officers from several jurisdictions have been searching for the missing 8-year-old Relisha Rudd,.

“Everything we have is consistent with what we know about his appearance,” Lanier said. The body was found inside the search area of the 700-acre park, the chief said, and doznes of searchers were to resume their search for the girl.
