A robber held a car owner at gun point on and drove off with the vehicle on Wednesday night on the 6100 block of Broad Branch Road, NW.
Police report the victim had just parked his or her car when the suspect approached with a large handgun and demanded the victim's money and keys.
The car owner was not injured, police said.
Police described the suspect as a black male, five feet 10 inches tall, wearing a dark colored ski mask, puffy jacket and dark pants.
