Teen Charged With Killing Tourist in Northwest D.C.
Gary Dederichs was visiting D.C. from Denver when he was slain in Petworth.
Nineteen-year-old Michael Davis, the younger brother of two NFL players, has been charged in the death of Gary Dederichs, the Washington Post reports.
Dederichs, 66, was killed on the 800 block of Emerson Street NW in Petworth on April 24. He was visiting D.C. from Denver. Davis has been charged with first-degree murder.
"Davis is accused of bludgeoning 66-year-old tourist Gary Dederichs, with some kind of object, believed to be a claw hammer, police said," WUSA 9 reports.

According to the Washington Examiner, Davis is the younger brother of NFL tight-end Vernon Davis, who plays for the San Francisco 49ers, and Vontae Davis, a professional player on the Miami Dolphins.
