U.S. Park Police Officer's Funeral Planned for Dec. 28

Sgt. Michael Boehm died Friday, Dec. 16 while responding to a possible jumper from the Key Bridge.

U.S. Park Poice Sgt. Michael Boehm, who died on duty Friday, Dec. 16, will be buried with full honors Dec. 28 at the . Sgt. Boehm was when he collapsed on the C&O Canal.

Sgt. Boehm was transported to Georgetown University Hospital where, he died a some time later.

He is survived by his wife, Corrina, and son, Christopher.

Sgt. Boehm entered service with the United States Park Police on October 11, 1992.

According to a notice on the U.S. Park Police press room blog, the viewing and Funeral Mass will be held at the Church of the Nativity: 6400 Nativity Lane Burke, VA 22015.

The public viewing will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 27 from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday Dec. 28 at 10 a.m.

Immediately following the funeral Mass a procession will be held from the church to U.S. Park Police Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Sgt. Boehm will be interred after the procession (approximately 1 p.m.) at the
Fairfax Memorial Park, 9900 Braddock Road Fairfax, VA 22015.
