Circulator Route Changes Saturday Morning

The DC Circulator will run modified service on Saturday, due to the road closures for the National Marathon.

The Circulator route that runs from Union Station to Georgetown and back will be split in two from 7 a.m. until approximately 8:45 a.m. Saturday March 26. The adjusted service is due to the road closures for the National Marathon.

The route will operate from Union Station to 17th Street and the other half will operate from Georgetown to 20th Street. If you need to travel beyond 17th or 20th Streets, you will need to walk across the Marathon route. There you can access buses on the other side to continue to your destination. 

Buses will make the following adjustments to normal routes, according to a notice from the District Department of Transportation:

Buses coming from Georgetown going toward Union Station will stop their normal course at Pennsylvania Avenue and 20th Street. From there they bus will turn:

  • Left onto 20th Street, NW
  • Left onto K Street, NW
  • Left onto 21st Street, NW
  • Right onto Pennsylvania Avenue, NW.

Buses coming from Union Station going toward Georgetown will pull into the service lane on K Street after the 16th Street stop. The bus will then turn:

  • Right onto Connecticut Avenue, NW
  • Right onto L Street, NW
  • Right onto 17th Street, NW
  • Left onto K  Street, NW.
