DMV Reopening April 29 at The Shops at Georgetown Park

You'll be able to get a new driver's license and more in Georgetown.

DC DMV is opening a new location.

The Georgetown Service Center will reopen Tuesday, April 29, in The Shops at Georgetown Park, 3222 M St., Canal Level. The center will share an entrance on M Street across from Dean & DeLuca with Washington Sports Club and DSW, but will actually be on the floor below, according to The Georgetowner.

The original Georgetown Service Center was in the same mall and closed in May 2012.

With the opening of the Georgetown Service Center, DC DMV will have four full service locations operational – one in every quadrant of the District, open Tuesday to Saturday from 8:15 a.m.- 4 p.m. (Exams are 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.) The phone number is (202) 737-4404.

Mayor Vincent Gray and Lucinda Babers, director of the DC DMV, were expected to help launch the new office Monday morning with a ribbon-cutting for invited guests, media and public officials.
