Don't Get Ticketed at the Nats Game

Parking tickets don't take a vacation for Labor Day; consider riding metro.

D.C. Department of Public Works will be ticketing parking violations in the area around National's stadium throughout the weekend, including Labor Day.

Though DPW will not enforce parking restrictions in other areas, including Georgetown, regulations in the ballpark neighborhood will be enforced.

In a release DPW advised, "The Nationals will play home games at Nationals Park beginning August 31, 2012 thru September 9, 2012, and parking regulations in that neighborhood will be enforced daily, including September 3."

Metro cancelled a scheduled shutdown on the Green and Yellow lines over Labor Day to accomodate Nationals fans. The Green and Yellow lines will keep regular weekend hours.

The Nationals are hosting the Cardinals through Sunday, followed by the Cubs Monday Sept. 3 through Thursday Sept. 6 and then the Marlins Friday through Sunday, Sept. 9.
